Herbert Rubenfeld is a graduate of City College of the City of New York with an accounting degree (B.B.A.) and Brooklyn Law School (J.D.). He also attended New York University Graduate School of Law. Mr. Rubenfeld became a CPA in New York state in 1959 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1960.
Herbert Rubenfeld has devoted his career to matrimonial law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, and the Suffolk County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Matrimonial and Family Law Committees of both local bar associations. Mr. Rubenfeld is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He serves as an evaluator for the Early Neutral Evaluation Program in Nassau County for Matrimonials.

Herbert Rubenfeld practices with his son, Michael Rubenfeld, Esq., who graduated from Hofstra Law School in 1992. Michael has worked for the firm full time as a matrimonial attorney ever since. He is admitted to all New York Courts, New Jersey Courts, and the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Suffolk County Bar Association.
